We are Brain Juice Tees. Who are we exactly? Well, we are a small, family-owned business run by husband and wife team Jenn and Doug. Our journey began back in 2012 when my husband Doug was honorably discharged from the US Army. After having done a tour in Iraq he decided it was time to move on to greener pastures and spend more time with his family. In the summer of 2012 Brain Juice Tees was founded. It began with military inspired designs while donating a portion of each sale to the non-profit Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). We have since shifted our focus to pop culture, funny tv and movie referenced designs but still donate to IAVA as a way to give back to those who give so much for our country.
Our designs are derived from quotes and episodes from some of our favorite shows and movies like The Office, Parks and Rec, Supernatural, Step Brothers and Lord Of The Rings...just to name a few. We apparently aren’t the only ones who love shows and movies like these because we have received so much positive feedback on the designs and we even share emails with customers who write to us just to share their favorite quotes and episodes. We take pride in being able to have these conversations with customers and share thoughts and opinions like we are old friends. It is one of the great things about being a small company- we aren’t focused on maximizing profit or in a time crunch so we can enjoy things like this and make a more personal connection through shirts to folks with a shared interest.
We print on high quality garments, we don’t cut corners and use cheap shirts that will be torn apart by the washing machine. For men, women and tanks we use the Los Angeles based company Next Level Apparel. They make super soft, high quality garments that are durable and noticeably superior to other brands like Gildan or Hanes. They are comparable to American Apparel and Bella+Canvas (also LA based companies). For our kids lines- onesies, toddler and bibs- we use Rabbit Skins who are a Georgia based company that make garments which are the industry standard for quality and durability. Feedback on our men and women’s garments are majority positive. Some women have mentioned that the women’s shirts run small for them because they are a junior/petite fit so we always recommend sizing up with that style. Our onesies are also about 99.5% positive with some negative feedback coming from the newborn size being a little too small, but overall a 98% satisfaction rate among shoppers to our site.
